While Candace was responsive and flexible with scheduling, I felt more like I was leading the home search. If I didn't ask questions she would not offer much information about a home and I had to learn to ask everything. She would receive a higher rating if she had been more personable and sent us recommended houses to tour rather than let the filter in the app send automated updates. I expected our realtor to offer more insight and suggestions when looking for homes and during the negotiation process. I am a first time home buyer and was hoping for much more coaching.

My real estate agent was self serving, and put herself first in our interactions. For example, on the day of open house, she was at the Indianapolis Colts game, and told me she would have her colleague to meet me at the open house. Later the same day she told me he could not make it because he got Covid from a client. I overlooked that, and remained focused on making a purchase. I did not appreciate the heart emoji’s as it made her appear less professional, and obsequious. I asked her if she could make time for me to have a final walkthrough. She sent me her itinerary and stated how she could not do the times I requested but she could make time for other clients. Further on the day of closing she called the title company requesting to move the closing time to 12 noon, and claimed she thought she sent First American Title a request for change earlier in the week but had not. Needless to say, she did not show up at 10:00 am closing. I was there the scheduled time which was 10:00 am. The seller was not there because she informed them the closing time had been changed to 12 noon. I was at my 10:00 am closing, paid my closing cost, and signed documents. However, I could not leave there with my keys for the new home because at the time because of the real estate agent influence with changing closing time the seller had not signed the deed. It was a humiliating experience as I am the home buyer responsible for the commission this agent did not earn. I never met her in person not one time. The straw that broke the camels back was the fact that she lied about the title company changing the closing time when it was actually her request. In an email the agent said she had a 10:30 am closing in Greenwood or Greenfield the same day as my closing at 10:00 am. I would not refer anyone to this agent who used manipulation to get her way. I remain disappointed and dissatisfied with the agents conduct, and lack of sincerity . I was not treated fairly, nor with respect of customer service and her disingenuous behavior.

I want to give a huge shoutout to Grace for being an absolutely amazing person, that happens to be our real estate agent. From start to finish, she was attentive, responsive, and truly had our best interests at heart. Grace went above and beyond to ensure we found the perfect home, guiding us every step of the way with an astounding level of expertise and care. We couldn’t have asked for a better partner in this journey. Thank you, Grace, for making this experience not only successful but enjoyable!

Joey is incredible. He was very easy to work with and very flexible. When viewing properties, he had a plethora of knowledge on all things from mushy floors to spotting water damage. Finally, he has a terrific sense of humor and was just fun to be around.

Connie Gust with Middleton Realty Group is an ABSOLUTE GEM! Highly recommend any referrals from VU to a Dallas-Fort Worth client should be given a list of realtors with Connie on the short list.

Edgar was great the whole time. He was determined to find us a safe, nice, first home. Doing periodic check ins with us to make sure we were okay and still feeling good about the buying process.
